The plant reaches a height of 15–20 cm and forms medium-green leaves resembling lettuce leaves. Double flowers of medium or large size are white with a creamy tint when opening, gradually acquiring a lilac-pink blush.
The flowers are sterile and do not produce seeds, which extends the flowering period that occurs during the spring months. The plant belongs to USDA hardiness zones 4–8, withstands temperatures down to -5...-10°C, and prefers partial shade and moist, well-drained soils.
