The variety forms a compact rounded bush 13–20 cm in height and 25–30 cm in width. The flowers are double and sterile, which contributes to a long flowering period from early to late spring.

The plant belongs to cold-hardy varieties (USDA zones 4–8). It prefers partial shade or full shade conditions, requires constant soil moisture and good drainage to prevent root system diseases.
