Variety description

The variety is the result of a bud mutation identified in the Argolis region in the 1950s. The tree is characterized by vigorous growth and the presence of lateral branching.

The fruits are medium-sized with a spherical, slightly flattened shape. The skin is yellow with a reddish blush on the sunny side. The flesh is juicy, soft, and aromatic. The variety matures in June to early July, shortly after the Bebecou variety.

The fruits do not have high resistance to long-distance transportation. The variety is often used in scientific studies of cultivation systems and is one of the key commercial varieties in Greece.
