The variety is used in breeding research as a donor of resistance to the fungal disease Monilinia laxa. Lines obtained from its open pollination demonstrate quantitative transmission of the fruit resistance trait, although second-generation progeny may show susceptibility to infection.

Within the framework of breeding programs, the variety is used to improve fruit quality characteristics, including the content of dry matter, sugars, and vitamin C. Morphological traits of the tree, fruit, and ripening dates are not described in publications.
