The variety is a historically established local genotype of the Vesuvius region. Scientific research in the 1980s revealed its self-compatibility and specific productivity traits of long shoots, where flowers in their apical part ensure higher fruit set.
In terms of agricultural technique, the variety differs from traditional regional practices in that it may not require the shortening of long shoots during the winter period, as the fruits ripen successfully along the entire length of the shoot. The fruits of the variety have been studied in biochemical research as an object for the analysis of organic acid and amino acid composition.
