The variety was obtained by crossing Sundrop and Moorpark. The tree is characterized by moderately vigorous growth, an open upright canopy, and late flowering, which helps avoid damage from late spring frosts. The variety is partially self-fertile; for regular fruit set, the use of pollinators, such as the Hargrand variety, is recommended.
The oval-shaped fruits have tender, juicy, cream-orange flesh with a distinct sweet flavor. The variety is notable for good fruit retention on the tree and the ability to maintain quality in storage for up to 40 days at a temperature of 0 °C. Intended for fresh consumption, processing, and drying.
