Prunus armeniaca L. Apricot · Fruit crops

also searched as: модесто

Variety description

10 August 2026

The fruits of the variety have an orange skin color and possess a pronounced aroma with a good balance of sugar and acid. During storage research, it was noted that the fruits may undergo a loss of flesh firmness and develop mealiness during prolonged cold storage.

The variety is classified as mid-early in terms of flowering dates. In breeding work, Modesto is used as a parental form when creating interspecific hybrids. In phytosanitary publications, cases of trees of this variety being affected by the Apricot latent ringspot nepovirus were recorded.
