The S. Maria in Gradi - AL1 variety tree has high vigor and a drooping crown. The variety originates from the old orchards of the S. Maria in Gradi complex in the Lazio region.

Fruits are small, with a weight of about 18.6 g, oblong or ovoid in shape with a pointed tip. The skin is orange with a red blush. The flesh is light orange, firm, low-juiciness, and does not adhere to the pit. The taste is sweet and aromatic, the seed is sweet.

The fruit ripening period falls in the first ten days of July. The variety is intended mainly for fresh consumption.
