ActivePrunus avium (L.) L. · Sweet cherry
David W.Cain
10 August 2026
The tree is vigorous, forms a broad-pyramidal spreading crown, and is characterized by high productivity. The variety is self-fertile, which allows it to set fruit without the participation of other pollinator varieties.
The fruits are large and have a heart shape. The skin and flesh are black in color; the flesh is juicy and of medium density. The variety shows winter hardiness, however, the fruits are prone to cracking during precipitation. The plant has medium sensitivity to Monilinia and bacterial canker.
1 jurisdiction
Green indicates countries where the variety is listed in the national catalogue and its seeds are authorized for sale. Expired registrations are marked separately: the variety was previously admitted, but sale is no longer permitted.
