The variety is a local cultivar (landrace) and is often mentioned in the context of traditional fruit growing in the Veneto region. In scientific literature, it appears as an object of biochemical analysis, where the level of polyphenols and antioxidant activity of the fruits are studied.

The fruits of the variety are used for fresh consumption. Due to the fact that it is a local genetic form, and not a modern industrial hybrid, detailed agrotechnical characteristics, such as plant height or specific yield indicators, are absent in open publications.
