The fruits of the variety have a weight of 8–10 g, a heart-shaped or slightly oval shape, and a short peduncle. The fruit flesh is soft, and the skin is colored dark red, almost black. Ripening usually occurs in June to early July. The sweet cherry is of the dessert type; the fruits are suitable for both fresh consumption and culinary processing.

The tree can reach significant sizes, is well-suited for training into various standard forms, and can be used in espalier cultivation. The variety is self-incompatible and requires cross-pollination; suitable pollinators include the varieties Early Rivers, Udense Spaanse, and Varikse Zwarte. The plant prefers sunny sites with fertile, well-drained soils.
