The variety is an old Lyon variety of sweet cherry of mid-season maturity. Tree flowering occurs in April, harvesting usually falls in June or early July.

The tree is characterized by moderate growth and, in the absence of formative pruning, can reach 6 meters in height and 4 meters in width. The fruits belong to the «bigarreau» type, are medium-sized, and have juicy and firm flesh.

The variety possesses good resistance to diseases and pests, winter hardiness is estimated at approximately up to -20°C. The fruits are considered versatile and are used both fresh and for the preparation of jams, compotes, and baked goods.
