The Meyer tree has medium to vigorous growth and a semi-upright crown shape. The variety is characterized by abundant flowering and an early onset of fruiting. The varieties Stark, Burlat, Fertile, and Fermina are recommended as pollinators.

The fruits are kidney-shaped and 24–28 mm in size. The surface is characterized by a purple-red color and a pronounced sheen. The taste of the fruits is balanced and sweet, but the variety has a high susceptibility to cracking.
