Variety description

10 August 2026

The Merton Premier tree grows with medium vigor, forming a uniform round-domed crown with upward-directed branches. The variety enters bearing in the 3–4th year after planting.

Fruits of medium size have a heart shape and dark purple-red skin when ripe. The flesh is medium-red in color, soft and aromatic; the stone is small and triangular. The pedicel has an average length of about 4 cm.

The variety ripens in late June — the first ten days of July. It is self-incompatible; for pollination, other sweet cherry varieties are required, such as Van, Regina, Kordia, Burlat, or other compatible partners. Intended for the fresh market and processing.
