The tree is vigorous, reaching 7 meters in height, with a dense spherical crown and characteristic red leaves. The variety is mid-season, fruit harvesting maturity occurs at the end of July, and flowering begins in early April. It is self-sterile and is characterized by high, but irregular, yields.

The fruits are oval-shaped with a weight of 22–25 g, have a solid red-purple skin color and juicy bright red flesh from which the stone does not separate. The taste of the fruits is sour; the composition includes 11.6% dry matter, 5.6% sugars, and 3.60% acids. The variety has high resistance to diseases; however, its winter hardiness and drought tolerance are rated as low.

The variety is used as a component in breeding clonal rootstocks, such as Vesenneye plamya. Due to the consistency and taste characteristics, the fruits are poorly suited for fresh consumption, but are valuable for the production of juices with pulp, compotes, and jams.
