The Eruni rootstock is used for grafting various plum varieties. In comparative studies, trees grafted onto this rootstock demonstrate size, survival, and yield levels comparable to the Mariana group, while Eruni is characterized by lower root suckering.
When propagated by hardwood cuttings, the rootstock shows average rooting results of about 39.7%, which is lower than that of rootstocks such as St. Julien A or Pixy. The genetic affiliation with the species Prunus domestica has been confirmed by flow cytometry methods.
