Walter Hartmann c/o Universität Hohenheim
10 August 2026
The tree is vigorous, forming a large, slightly funnel-shaped crown with steeply upward-growing scaffold branches and dense fruiting wood. The variety is healthy and widely adapted to various growing conditions; trees are often own-rooted.
Fruits are medium-sized, round-oval in shape, dark red or dark blue in color with a heavy waxy bloom. The flesh is dark yellow, juicy and sweet; the skin is thin. The fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and processing, detach easily from the branches when ripe, and the stone separates from the flesh moderately well or well.
