The tree has moderate growth vigor, reaching a height of 4 meters. It enters bearing 3–4 years after planting. The variety is a result of a cross between the Albion and Italian Prune varieties.
The fruits are ellipsoid or broadly oval in shape; the skin is colored dark blue or purplish-pink and is covered with a waxy bloom. The flesh is yellow or greenish-yellow in shade, firm and juicy, and the stone separates easily.
The plant has cold hardiness down to -30°C and demonstrates high resistance to Plum pox virus. The harvest ripens in September to early October; the fruits are suitable for fresh consumption and all types of processing.
