Reine Claude Verte is a medium-vigor tree, reaching 6–7 meters in height, with an irregular rounded crown. The variety is late-ripening; fruit maturation occurs in the second half of August.

The fruits are medium-sized, round, greenish-yellow in color, and often covered with a waxy bloom. The flesh is juicy, tender, and sweet; the stone separates well. The variety is self-infertile and requires pollinators for crop formation.

The plant possesses good frost resistance and resistance to a number of fungal diseases, however, in conditions of high humidity, the fruits are prone to rotting. The fruits are primarily used fresh; they are also suitable for processing into jams and compotes.
