The Jesuitenmandel variety is distinguished by very early flowering, which occurs earlier than in other almond varieties in the region. The flowers are predominantly white, sometimes with a slight pinkish tint.

The plant possesses a specific left-handed spiral growth structure of the trunk and branches. This morphological feature gives the tree increased resistance to strong winds and snow accumulation loads.

The tree can reach large sizes; 50 years after planting, the height of a specimen was about 10 meters, and the trunk circumference exceeded two meters.
