The variety belongs to the early flowering group and is traditional for the Murcia region. The fruits have an elongated shape, a sweet taste, and a fat content of about 60%. The kernel is valued in the confectionery industry, in particular for the production of high-grade marzipan.
The plant is self-incompatible, so other pollinator varieties, such as Desmayo Largueta, are required to obtain a harvest. The variety is often used in scientific research as genetic material for breeding programs.
