BD-SU-1 is used as a seed rootstock for peach. Its functional purpose is to ensure the viability of grafted trees in specific soil conditions where standard seed rootstocks show less effective results.
This rootstock is characterized by its suitability for heavier and less permeable soils. In professional nurseries, the propagation of peaches on this rootstock is rare, however, it is available for use by amateur gardeners when growing seedlings from seeds independently.
