The variety was obtained by crossing the parent forms J. H. Hale and Elberta. The tree is characterized by medium or vigorous growth. The ripening period is late; fruits ripen at the end of summer.
The fruits are oval-shaped with yellow skin and a dark red blush covering 30–50% of the surface. The flesh is yellow, firm, tender, and juicy; the stone separates easily from the flesh. The variety has a universal purpose and is suitable for fresh consumption and industrial processing.
