A variety of Hungarian origin, discovered in the vicinity of the city of Kecskemét. It belongs to the category of late-ripening varieties, with harvest times falling between late August and early September. The variety is self-fertile.
Fruits are medium-large, round in shape with a slight point. The skin is purplish-red with stripes and light fuzz. The flesh is dark red, juicy, fibrous, with whitish areas near the pit, which separates easily from the flesh.
The fruits are recommended for fresh consumption, as well as for the production of jams and juices. The plant requires soils with good water absorption and a neutral pH level.
