The plant is a hybrid of Prunus persica × Prunus davidiana and is used as a rootstock for peach, nectarine, apricot, plum, and almond. The tree is vigorous, reaches a height of 4.5–7.5 meters, has good anchorage, and produces few root suckers.

The variety shows high resistance to root-knot nematode and partial resistance to root-lesion nematodes and bacterial canker. At the same time, it is susceptible to ring nematode, Verticillium wilt, and fungal root diseases.

The rootstock is well-adapted to light, well-drained soils. It poorly tolerates waterlogging and lime in the soil, on which it is prone to chlorosis. Winter hardiness is assessed as medium; the use of this rootstock may reduce the frost hardiness of grafted varieties.
