Red Haven
ActivePrunus persica (L.) Batsch · Peach
Stat Exp South Haven (US)
10 August 2026
The variety was obtained by crossing nectarine variety Zheltiy with a pollen mixture of varieties Sara Oilor and Arp Beauty. The trees demonstrate high yield and early onset of fruiting, starting from the 2nd–3rd year after planting.
The fruits of this variety are distinguished by a large stone, which separates easily from the flesh. The variety is intended for both fresh consumption and processing for canning. The level of resistance to the main diseases and pests of the crop is assessed as relatively high.
In documentation, the variety is recommended for cultivation in the North Caucasian region. The existence of the name OBIL'NYJ in relation to peach is often an error associated with the description of abundant fruiting of other varieties, as it is registered as an independent varietal name for this nectarine.
