The rootstock «Підщепний 1», also known under the name «Супутник» or «Супутник 1», is a specialized form developed for use as a rootstock for peach and nectarine. The plant is an interspecific hybrid of peach and is not intended for the production of commercial fruit.
Trees on this rootstock are characterized by relatively vigorous growth and good compatibility with most peach varieties. The rootstock possesses high winter hardiness of the crown and root system, and also demonstrates resistance to growing on slightly and moderately solonetzic soils.
