The variety Platiforone, also known by the commercial name Sweet Ring, belongs to the donut peach type. The fruits have a flat shape and a weight of 90–120 g. The skin is yellow with a red or cherry blush covering up to 80% of the surface. The fruit flesh is yellow, firm, and juicy, with a sweet taste and slight pubescence.

The tree is characterized as medium-vigorous, with a height varying from 2.7 to 4.5 meters. The variety is of the early maturity group; depending on the climate, harvest maturity of the fruits occurs in early July. The plant possesses good winter hardiness and high yield, which requires fruit thinning.
