The Rich May variety (synonym Flavorich) belongs to the extra-early peach group. The tree is characterized as vigorous or moderately growing, with a height of 3–4.5 meters when properly pruned. The variety is self-pollinating and exhibits winter hardiness, although it is sensitive to late spring frosts under certain conditions.
Fruits are round in shape, weighing from 130 to 300 g, and covered with a bright red blush on 80–100% of the surface. The flesh is yellow, firm and juicy, with a sweet-and-sour taste. The stone does not separate from the flesh. The variety is suitable for commercial cultivation, fresh consumption, desserts, and canning.
