The RUBIRA' rootstock is characterized by moderate vigor, providing 15–20% less growth energy for the scion compared to the GF 677 rootstock, which allows for higher density planting. The trees have a distinctive red leaf coloration.
The plant possesses genetic resistance to the green peach aphid, as well as to certain species of nematodes and bacterial canker. The rootstock is noted for sensitivity to high lime content in the soil and potential mild susceptibility to powdery mildew. The use of this rootstock promotes early bearing and high productivity of grafted varieties.
