The plant is a deciduous tree 5–8 meters tall with a broad umbrella-shaped or funnel-shaped crown. The flowers are double, white with a pink tint upon opening, and acquire a more pronounced pink color by the end of the flowering period.
This cultivar is not a fruit crop, and its fruits are inedible. In agronomy and phytosanitary diagnostics, the tree is used as an indicator for testing peach, sweet cherry, and plum for the presence of viral diseases due to its high sensitivity to them.
