The Summerset peach variety is late-maturing and ripens in late August – early September. The fruits are large, distinguished by their juiciness, sweet taste with a slight acidity, and have yellow flesh.
The variety is self-fertile and belongs to the freestone category, as its stone easily separates from the flesh. For normal development and fruiting, the tree requires about 700 hours of winter chilling. The fruits are versatile in use and are suitable for fresh consumption, freezing, and canning.
