The tree is medium-sized and forms a spreading crown. Leaf glands are reniform, and flowers are large and pink. The variety was obtained through open pollination of the hybrid Red Diamond and Early Sun Grand.
Fruits are 95% covered with a dark red blush on a yellow background. The flesh is yellow and easily separates from the pit. The variety matures 14 days before Early Sun Grand and possesses good storage life and transportability. Trees are susceptible to the peach fruit moth.
