The variety belongs to the early-maturing category; the fruits have purple skin color, orange flesh, and a sugar content of about 14º Brix. The tree is characterized by a low requirement for chill hours to complete the dormancy period.
The variety is not self-fertile and requires the presence of pollinators, for which the varieties Pioneer and CR7-53 are mentioned. The purpose of the variety is commercial cultivation to replace traditional summer plum varieties.
