The variety is a complex interspecific hybrid obtained by crossing Japanese plum and apricot. The tree is characterized by moderate vigor and is self-incompatible, requiring the presence of pollinator varieties.

The fruit is large, round, with dark red flesh. The stone is difficult to separate. The variety is mid-season and intended for fresh consumption in the dessert fruit market.

The plant's chill hour requirement for the dormancy period is approximately 700–800 hours.
