The plant belongs to the Chinese plum (Japanese type) group. Morphologically, the variety is characterized by a leaf blade with a doubly crenate margin. As a diploid variety, Golden Kiss is capable of serving as a pollinator for a number of other plum varieties.
Fruits of this variety are distinguished by their yellow skin color. Due to its commercial qualities, the variety is commercially significant, actively grown and exported, and also demonstrates suitability for storage in cold chamber conditions.
