The variety is a hybrid of Pulmonaria longifolia 'Bertram Anderson' and Pulmonaria vallarsae 'Margery Fish'. The plant forms a low, broad basal rosette 25–35 cm in height. The foliage is narrow, lanceolate, dark green with silvery-white spots; it is semi-evergreen.
Flowers are funnel-shaped, gathered in dense racemes of a cobalt-blue shade. Flowering occurs in April-May. The variety possesses increased resistance to powdery mildew, tolerates heat and humidity well, and belongs to USDA hardiness zones 4–9.
Prefers moist, humus-rich soils and partial shade sites. Maintenance recommendations include pruning flower stalks after flowering and dividing the clump every 3–5 years.
