The plant reaches a height of 20 to 35 cm, in individual cases up to 60 cm. The leaves are of a deep green color, covered with characteristic large silvery-white spots and have a pubescent texture.

Bell-shaped flowers bloom in the period from March to May. At the beginning of flowering, they have a bright pink or pale red color, which can shift to a violet-blue shade as they develop.

The variety is winter-hardy and well-adapted to conditions of shade, partial shade, and dry shaded areas. It is used in landscape design as a decorative groundcover plant and honey plant.
