The plant forms a bush 25–30 cm tall and up to 45–50 cm wide. The foliage is semi-evergreen and retains its ornamental quality throughout the season. Flowers are small, bell-shaped, gathered in scorpioid cymes; the flowering period falls in April–May.

The variety possesses resistance to powdery mildew and deer browsing. Prefers partial shade or shady areas with moist, well-drained, and humus-rich soils. The upright habit ensures stability of form without lodging.
