The variety is considered ancient, presumably introduced from Syria in the VIII century. Fruit harvesting begins in the second week of September. The fruits have a rounded shape and an average weight of about 300 g. The peel is colored yellowish or orange; a pronounced red hue is usually absent.

The fruits have a sweet taste and contain about 16.0% soluble solids with an acidity of about 0.4%. The juice yield is approximately 33%. In the juvenile phase, the plant may show a slight tendency towards a weeping growth habit. The variety is susceptible to fruit cracking and sunburn.
