The variety belongs to the category of traditional Italian crops. Currently, it is included in genetic resource collections, in particular in Hungary, and is considered as a source of genetic variability for breeding.

Data on plant morphology and fruit quality characteristics in agronomic reference books are virtually absent. In studies of pear genetic diversity, the variety is mentioned in a group of genotypes exhibiting signs of disease resistance.
