Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is an interspecific hybrid combining genetic material of the common pear (Pyrus communis) and the sand pear (Pyrus pyrifolia). The tree is vigorous, has vertically directed shoots, and is distinguished by early onset of fruiting.

The variety's cold requirement ranges from 100 to 1000 chilling hours. The fruits have a sweet taste with crunchy, juicy flesh and are characterized by a long storage life. The variety shows resistance to fire blight and moderate resistance to the pear psylla.

When grown, compatibility features with rootstocks are noted due to the presence of Pyrus pyrifolia genetics, which requires the selection of specific grafting methods depending on growing conditions.
