CH 201
ActivePyrus communis L. · European pear
EST. PRODUCTIVO DE DANILO CHRISTEN
10 August 2026
The tree has moderate growth; the crown is formed by thin, open, and drooping shoots, often taking on a pyramidal shape. The fruits are medium or large in size, ranging in shape from conical to pear-shaped with an uneven surface. The rough skin is dark green with a reddish-brown blush at harvest, turning a golden hue upon ripening.
The variety is classified as autumn-maturing; harvesting begins in mid-September. The flesh is white, juicy, and firm. The taste is pronounced, sweet and sour with a characteristic bitterness and aroma. The fruits are suitable for culinary processing in September and for fresh consumption after ripening in October.
The variety is productive, bears fruit regularly, and is suitable for cultivation on a trellis or as a cordon. The shelf life of the fruit is limited, lasting about a month; upon overripening, the flesh loses its firmness and taste qualities.
