Variety description

10 August 2026

The Carwoodi variety belongs to the oilseed radish type, which does not form a distinct root crop and is used primarily to improve soil structure and enrich it with organic matter. The main purpose of the variety is for use as a cover crop.

Studies indicate ambiguous results regarding nematode control: the variety is often characterized as not possessing general resistance, however, a number of scientific papers note its ability to suppress the development of individual nematode species, such as Meloidogyne incognita or Meloidogyne arenaria.
