The variety is a multipurpose crop: it is used as green manure to improve the structure of heavy soils, as a forage crop for green mass production, as industrial raw material, and as a honey plant. The plant is characterized as fast-growing, with a period from emergence to flowering of about 40 days.
The height of the highly branched and spreading plant reaches 1.5–1.8 meters, sometimes up to 2 meters. The variety possesses cold hardiness, moisture requirements, and shade tolerance; it tolerates low temperatures well and regrows rapidly during the cold period.
The variety is valued for high yields of green mass and seeds, as well as for its ability to suppress the development of nematodes. The flowers can be white-violet or yellow in color.
