The variety was obtained by the traditional hybridization method and adapted to the climatic and soil conditions of Poland. The main purpose of the fruits includes industrial processing, including freezing, and use in fresh form.
The plant possesses a certain resistance to the blackcurrant bud mite, which is a vector of the blackcurrant reversion virus. Studies also included an assessment of this genotype for gall midge infestation.
The variety is focused on high productivity and the possibility of mechanized harvesting.
