The bush can vary from medium-sized and compact to vigorous and spreading. Young shoots are smooth and shiny, green in color, acquiring a gray-brown hue with age. The berries are round in shape, almost black, weighing from 1.2 to 1.9 g, and have thin skin.

The variety possesses winter hardiness and resistance to fungal diseases, including powdery mildew, as well as relative resistance to the blackcurrant gall mite. Yield, according to various data, ranges from 1.3 to 5 kg per bush or up to 70–90 c/ha under industrial conditions.

The variety is for universal use, suitable for fresh consumption and processing. It is used in international breeding as a donor of quality characteristics, in particular, for reducing the astringency of berries in new varieties.
