ActiveRibes rubrum L. · Redcurrant
RIETSEMA (NL)
10 August 2026
The bush of the variety is upright, reaches 1.2–1.5 m in height, and has strong and thick shoots that hold their shape well under load. The leaves are dark green, leathery, large, and five-lobed. Natural partial peeling of the bark is observed on the branches, which is not a pathology.
The berries are dark red with a glossy sheen and are collected in long, dense clusters of 16–20 or more. The taste of the fruits is sweet and sour and aromatic. The variety has high resistance to powdery mildew and anthracnose; the berries do not drop for a long time after ripening and tolerate transportation well.
