The bush is vigorous and dense, reaching a height of 80–130 cm. The skeletal branches are strong; the leaves are dark green with a characteristic reddening of the central vein, and young leaves have a yellowish-green hue. Very long clusters form on young bushes.
The berries are large, shiny, and round or slightly pear-shaped. The variety is late-ripening; fruiting begins in August. The fruits have a sweet-and-sour taste and are suitable for fresh consumption and all types of processing.
The variety is winter hardy, resistant to diseases, and demonstrates high adaptability. Yield is high; 4–6 kg of berries can be harvested from a three-year-old bush. The variety was obtained by crossing the varieties Jonkheer van Tets and Rote Spätlese.
