The variety forms medium-sized, upright plants with a tendency to be spreading and have a dense crown. Shoots of young bushes may have a stocky shape.
The fruits have an oblong shape and turn a light-red color when fully ripe. The taste of the berries is characterized as juicy and sweet-and-sour.
The variety is the result of folk selection and has no recorded pedigree. It is characterized by high susceptibility to powdery mildew, which is a typical feature of many European varieties of this period.
